Förderjahr 2021 / Projekt Call #16 / ProjektID: 5763 / Projekt: DALICC
Meet us at this year from September 20 - 22, 2023 at the Semantics Conference, the 19th International Conference on Semantics Systems (SEMANTiCS) in Leipzig / Germany. We will showacse DALICC's newest features and community activities.
Over the previous months we have invested a lot of time and energy to improve the performance, stability anf findability of our newest features. A lot of stuff has happened "under the hood" such as adjusting our data structure to be compliant with a 5-star linked open data model, providing various output formats for our machine-readable licenses (which are now available as LSON-LD, RDF XML and Turtle) and improving search engine optimization by semantically enriching and restructuring the available data and contents.
We are also just about to realease our license composer feature via an API and with a lean HTML-interface for testing and experimental purposes. The composer is currently optimized for creating and editing licenses, but it can be easily extended to create any abritray contract that can be expressed in deontic statements such as permissions, prohibitions and duties. For this purpose we extended the DALICC vocabulary and will publish the new documentation in the next couple of days.
You can try out our new services at www.dalicc.net. Additionally, the DALICC framework, its technical components and its datasets are available via GitHub (https://github.com/dalicc) and provided under open licenses (MIT / CC-BY / CC-BY-ND) for sharing and reuse.
About the tutorial: This tutorial is dedicated to people interested in LegalTech and compliance management from the scientific and industry domain alike. License issues affect almost anybody involved in either creating or administering software or data-related products and services. This involves developers, data engineers, library people, legal personnel, sales personnel and many more. Participants of this tutorial will learn about use cases, the solutions that DALICC can provide to specific problems and provides a platform to exchange ideas and deepen collaboration to develop the framework further – even beyond the narrow scope of license clearance.
Dates & Setup: The half-day-tutorial will most likely take place on September 20, 2023. It will be provided in a hybrid form which allows you to participate either onsite or online. Details about the exact timeslot will be provided by the end on June 2023.
Stay tuned!
